Adel Property Tax Abatement

As part of their recent Urban Revitalization the city of Adel has approved a residential real estate  tax abatement program. The program will be in effect for the next three years  and will include  100% property tax abatement under the following schedule:

-For homes completed in 2011 the abatement period will be 7 years

-For homes completed in 2012 the abatement period will be 5 years

-For homes competed in 2013 the abatement period will be 3 years

Note: On 3/13/12 the Adel City Council modified the Abatement Plan:

-For homes completed in 2012 the abatement period will be 7 years

-For homes competed in 2013 the abatement period will be 5 years
